Ah, thank goodness I got to stay home today. Snowday for me! It just kept dumping. It seemed like we got about 2 feet!! Usually we don't get our first snow until after Halloween so it could be a wet and snowy winter.

I've been taking a lot of pictures while driving lately on my drive up to Boulder from Denver. Here are the gorgeous Flatirons.

I took this on my drive home along Hwy 93. This was a strange structure up on a hill. I liked it.

Here are the hills along the side of the road. It is such a pretty drive.

And here is some golden grass floating along the road in Golden.

I took this on the drive to Stevens Point, so it's through the car window. The picture does not do justice to the reds and oranges of the leaves. The trees seemed to be on fire.

And a beautiful day for a beer tasting.

This is quite possibly the most absurd arcade game I've ever seen. It is just like the game with the claw in which you try to catch a cute stuffed animal, except in this game, you're trying to catch a lobster. A live lobster. To eat. For dinner.

This little guy was sitting behind us at the Rockies game this evening. How did he get into the upperdeck? No one knows. One thing I do know, he didn't pray hard enough for the Rockies to beat the Giants. Sad showing tonight, but I suppose Carly is happy her team won, right?

I checked out A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving at the library today. When I opened it up I found dried flowers inside. I think I'll keep this columbine, and send the other three pressed flowers back with the book so other people can find them. Maybe I'll even add a flower of my own...

Today we went to Elitch Lanes to bowl with T's work people. It was... awkward, at first. But, then it got a little better. The best part of the night, though, for T at least, was when he FINALLY bowled over 200. Apparently this was a goal he'd had for a VERY LONG TIME!!
The keyboard was a little wonky so it was hard to spell, thus, my bowling call sign "Sassafrass" is a little sad. T's ("Dr. Gutterball") ended up being "DrGutterrraaaggh" which, when you think about it, is actually kind of cool.
Also, please disregard my meager score on this occasion. I hold to my claim that my arm was quite tired by this point.

My brother got promoted, but as part of that, he had to move to Las Vegas. (I know, it's weird.) So, my dad and I helped him pack up his apartment into a moving van so he could drive it out there on Friday. Here is the apartment at the end of the day: bare, save his huge suitcase.
(Luckily, after this, we got to go to dinner, and then he spent the night at my apartment, and I got to make him a very nice breakfast (if I do say so myself) so I felt like I got to send him off sufficiently and get to see him before he left. And he made it to LV safely. Now he's sweltering is 115 degree heat. Yeesh.)

Here are some of my knick-knacks. They are (from front to back): a hand carved dove made of olive wood ornament from Palestine via Ten Thousand Villages, a hand-folded (by me) origami crane, a needle felted pumpkin I made at a library tutorial hosted by the lady from Fancy Tiger, and lastly, a toucan ornament that is also a flute-type whistle.
