What should you do at 4:20 on a Friday at work? Why hit a piñata of course! Last Friday we had a Mexican fiesta, and the winner of the guacamole making contest was supposed to get the first hit of the piñata, but they never did it last week. So we did it today instead. That's our VP holding the piñata rope.
You were supposed to be here to hit this since you got second in the guac contest CR!

I LOVE this idea. Whaddya say we introduce competitions and pinatas into culinary, Steph? And, Carly, are you planning a summer Colorado vacation? I would love to meet you!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can make it to CO this summer. I have to go to Mexico in May with my mom and NJ in July for my cousin's wedding. I think that covers my vacation budget and time off. :( I would love to meet you too! I'm sure it will happen. I feel like I already know you.
ReplyDeleteLet's do it! We can fill the pinata with items resembling the Culinary theme. And Carly, oh-my-goodness it sure would be fun for you to come out here this summer. You think on it...
ReplyDeleteOh, whoops. Carly we were typing at the same time. I totally understand if you can't make it. Tessa, what does your summer look like? Could we take a trip to SF?
ReplyDeleteWhat is this culinary you speak of?
ReplyDeleteAlso, my friend at work showed me this blog the other day, and I love it.

Tessa can probably better explain the Culinary, but essentially it is a night in which friends get together to share food and cook together--kind of like a potluck, but you can make the food at the location if you want. Generally there is a theme like, "Thai one on!" or "Comfort Foods" or "Foods representing your ethnic origins" etc. Generally the food doesn't get finished until 9 or 10, which means everyone has had a few drinks already waiting for the food to cook, and then we all sit around and eat and imbibe and if I'm lucky, there is a dance party to end the night.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if I had a breakfast blog it would be the saddest thing in the world. Peanut butter on toast and a banana is usually as fancy as I get most mornings these days.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. Mine would be a yogurt or instant oatmeal at my desk at work. Every once in awhile I treat myself to a Starbucks breakfast sandwich, and sometimes our new office manager buys pastries or donuts. Exciting!
ReplyDeleteThe Culinary sounds fun! I wish I lived near you gals!
