J'adore Cafe Gamin! This cute little French cafe in SoHo scoffs at people that request skim milk in their latte, and have the best butter-shallot-white wine sauce that they serve with mussels that I've ever had. I still shudder to think about it, but this was not taken after a leisurely late lunch. In fact, we referred to this meal as "brunch" because New York messes with your timing. Other great things that happened this day: separating from the group for a bit to meet up with my friend Katie for a good old fashioned chat before heading up to midtown to cook a coconut curry stew with other good friends!
